Symphony of Life

30 Bands/30 DaysDay: 11/30Band: Tub RingFan Since: around 2007 sometime I believeFavorite Song(s): 2minus3, Bite the Wax Tadpole, Killers in Love, God Hates Astronauts, When the Crash Happened, I Could Never Fall in Love with you, Feed the Rapture, and Greenest of Stages are all great songs that come to mindFavorite Album(s): Drake Equation, but that is mostly because of the producer for the album, one Trey Spruance from Mr. Bungle and Secret Chiefs 3 “fame”Favorite Member: I would have to say Rob Kleiner, since his addition cemented in the band’s current sound, plus I have seen videos of him just going crazy on the Keyboard, although Kevin Gibson would be a close second because his voice sounds so close to Mr. Bungle era Mike Patton.Seen this band Live?: not as of yet, the last time they were in Michigan I didn’t find out until like two days before the show and by that time I had no money, and as of late they have been taking a well deserved break, hopefully they will hit the road again soon though, I really need to see this band live.

From all the bootlegs I have, and the videos I have seen, I really wish I would have had the chance to see him live, I’m sure it would have been one of the high points of my concert-going career.

Fuck…

My journey around the interwebs today has just cemented into fact my worst fears, music is dead and all these idiots couldn’t be more proud to recycle the same shit over and over. What ever happened to original ideas and musical expression, to picking up an actual instrument and “experimenting”, to actually create something from the soul instead of just sequencing your favorite part of a song into your own “creation”. It makes me fucking sick to see this degradation of a true art form into regurgitated fecal repackaging that passes for “music” these days… fuck!

30 Bands/30 DaysDay: 9/30Band: Nine Inch NailsFan Since: Hmmm, probably around 1999/2000-ishFavorite Song(s): March of the Pigs, Something I Can Never Have, Hurt, Wish, Sin, Gave Up, and many, many more.Favorite Album(s): Probably would have to be The Downward Spiral, although Pretty Hate Machine was also great, as was every other main album, the remixes do get a little tedious sometimes, but it’s still good music.Favorite Member: Trent Reznor being the only real member wins hands down, but his rotating band is usually filled with some great artistsSeen this band Live?: Fortunately I finally got the chance back in 2006 to go see them, unfortunately I had to go to Toledo (Ohio) to see them. Nonetheless it was a bad ass show and I would recommend it to anyone even remotely interested in heavier music.

so i’ve been away from the computer for a few days and haven’t posted any new bands, so I think i have like 3 to do right now to play catch up.

So I still haven’t acquired any new followers which leads me to believe that my taste in music is a little too obscure for the masses out there, for the few of you following me though I will express my thanks, stay tuned for more of the same worthless crap from me.
